Keng Tung School Support

โรงเรียนที่เชียงตุง ตั้งอยู่ในวัดหัวเสือ ห่างจากตัวเมืองเชียงตุงประมาณ ๗-๑๐ ก.ม นักเรียนภาคปกติจะมีประมาณ ๘๐-๑๐๐ คน อายุตั้งแต่ ๘ ขวบ – ๒๐ ปี และมีเด็กส่วนมากที่ไม่สามารถเข้าโรงเรียนภาคปกติได้เพราะต้องช่วยพ่อแม่ทำงาน โดยในช่วงปิดเทอมจะมีนักเรียนมาเรียน ๓๐๐ – ๕๐๐ คน โรงเรียนจะเปิดสอนตั้งแต่ ๘.๐๐ – ๑๓.๐๐ น เพื่อในตอนบ่ายเด็ก ๆ จะได้กลับไปช่วยครอบครัวทำงาน สภาพของนักเรียนส่วนใหญ่มีฐานะยากจน ขาดแคลนทุนทรัพย์ และไม่สามารถส่งลูกเข้าโรงเรียนรัฐได้

ทางโรงเรียนจึงมีความจำเป็นและมีความประสงค์ขอรับบริจาคและการสนับสนุนเพื่อการศึกษาของนักเรียน ให้เป็นไปตามเป้าหมายของการจัดการศึกษา โดยทางโรงเรียนขอความอนุเคราะห์การรับบริจาคและการช่วยเหลือ บริจาคได้ที่ มูลนิธิ เชียงใหม่คนละไม้คนละมือ ที่นี่

Kengtung school is located by Wat Sua Hua (Tiger Head Temple) in the town of Kengtung, which is approximately 7-10km from the city center.

This school tries to accomodate 80-100 students ranging in from 8 years to 20 years. Most of these children are unable to attend regular school because they have to help their parents work. During the semester often the number of students increases to 300-500 children.

School hours are offered from 8:00 to 13:00 pm so the children can return to help their families. Most of the students are very poor, so much so, that they cannot afford to attend a state school.

The school is essential to the children of the district and relies on donations and support for the education of the students.

According to the Thai government goals for education, the school is listed as a possible benficary of donations to the Foundation Helping Hands Chiangmai.
